Saryan VR - Cardboard 1.0

The concept behind Saryan VR - Cardboard was inspired by Martiros Saryan's painting “Armenia,” with the aim of providing a deeper understanding and sensory engagement with this iconic work of Armenian art. This application offers a digital three-dimensional recreation that strives to go beyond the limitations of a traditional canvas, immersing users fully into the vibrant colors and distinctive atmosphere of the masterpiece. To enhance the emotional resonance, the background features “Hov Arek Sarer Jan” by Komitas, chosen to complement the visual experience.

Employing augmented reality techniques, the app can recognize the original painting and be launched via a simple scan with a smartphone camera, facilitating accessibility and interaction in physical spaces. To ensure broad usability, the application is compatible with Google Cardboard, leveraging widely available virtual reality technology for immersive experiences.

Development was carried out by ARLOOPA, with marketing support from Antares and consulting provided by the M. Saryan House-Museum.
